March is Art and Philosophy Month at Poppy Seed

 The first talk of the Art and Philosophy series will be held on March 12th, at 5:30pm sharp.

 Rizwanullah Khan will speak about the notion of the individual and his/her needs in Far Eastern philosophy and its implications for the role of the Artist in society.
 
About the speaker: Rizwanullah Khan is an artist, musician and educator.  Since 1999, he has taught Art History at Karachi Univerity, Karachi School of Art and various other institutions. He has worked with renowned scholars in the field such as, Dr. M.S. Riaz, Prof. R.A. Jairazbhoy, & Dr. Affan Seljuq.

The talk is free and open to the public but does require participants to pre-register by Wednesday, March 12th, 2010.  Artists, writers and students are encouraged to attend.
